Operations and Production Director

The holding company for chemical industries is looking to hire “Operations and Production Director“, for one of its affiliates. The Operations and Production Director will participate in developing and supervising strategic plans and work to achieve the company’s goals through design, implementation and effective management of all production sectors, in order to ensure the achievement of the highest levels of productivity and quality at the ideal cost in accordance with the needs of customers, financial and technical standards and profitability indicators set by the company.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and supervise the implementation of all general policies governing the production process and implementation strategies.
  • Develop and supervise the implementation of strategies for raising productivity, lean management of production, and optimum utilization of resources
  • Setting rules and standards and supervising contracts for the supply of production lines to ensure compatibility with production requirements and market needs
  • Optimum utilization of available human, technical and material resources through supervising the development of production plans, distribution of workloads, and professional operation of equipment and production lines.
  • Set basic standards for dealing with suppliers in the technical and industrial fields to ensure assistance in building relationships with suppliers, establishing cost-effective contracts and ensuring the best contractual terms
  • Supervise the development of production costs management policies, measurement standards, and the control and follow-up system to ensure the achievement of targeted profitability for all products and production processes.
  • Plan and provide the needs of operations and production management and determining the annual budget with the financial sector and approving it by the Board of Directors.
  • Maintain competitiveness by designing and implementing a system of reports and information that supports decision-making and lays the foundation for implementation and institutional development processes
  • Develop and supervise the application of effective incentive mechanisms and the dissemination of a culture of productive work and teamwork among teams of workers in the sector.
  • Review reports with the current financial costs associated with operations and production management, analyzing these reports and proposing corrective and remedial actions that would reach the standard cost.
  • Assess risks for affiliated departments and managing them with supervision and setting preventive measures to avoid their occurrence or limit their effects

Employment Terms

  • BS in Production Engineering, preferably with specialized studies or diploma in the field of industrial engineering and operations and production management.
  • At least 10 years of experiences and proven working experience in Operations and Production  
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
  • Proficiency in English Language skills (spoken & written)
